Philippians 4:8-9
Do You Ever Wonder Just What You as a Christian Are Supposed to Do?
Do you ever wonder just what you as a Christian are supposed to do? So many times (all the time) the world pulls at you, this way and that, here and yonder) It’s hard to keep centered on what we are to and should, do. Sometimes it’s really confusing. We get our attention drawn to “things” until we find ourselves sidetracked and stumbling. What better way than this for the powers of darkness to lead us away from what God has for us.
Philippians 4: 8-9Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely… Finally believers, whatsoever is true, whatever is honorable and worthy of respect, whatever is right and confirmed by God’s word, whatever is pure and wholesome, whatever is lovely and brings peace, whatever is admirable and of good repute; if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think continually on these things center your mind on them, and implant them in your heart). The things which you have heard and seen in me, practice these things (in daily life) and the God (who is the source) of peace and well-being will be with you.
I heard a statement this morning that “You will always find what you are looking for.” So, my question this morning is, “What are you looking for?” I think I will print and post in bold letters the above scripture and place it where I will see and remember it as I go through my day. These are the things that i am seeking.
Love, Pam
